Surf-in-Turf Tacos - A great stop before or after a Diamond Head hike or a trip to the beach, is Surf-N-Turf tacos, offering a variety of burritos, tacos, and salads that will hit the spot. Try the local favorites: poke tacos and beer battered fish tacos. Both are what locals call "onolicious," which means that they are REALLY delicious! Choose from 2 locations: one on Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki and one on Monsarrat Avenue just outside Waikiki.

Marukame Udon - This popular Japanese eatery on Kuhio Avenue is one of Waikiki's best options for cheap eats. It's instantly recognizable by the line snaking out the door at all hours. Fear not: the line is fast-moving. Grab a tray, cafeteria-style, and choose from udon noodle soups and rice bowls paired with an array of fresh tempura and musubi.

Doraku Sushi - Located in the Royal Hawaiian Center, this unconventional, hip Waikiki sushi spot features specialty sushi rolls, Japanese dishes, creative cocktails, and great happy hour specials. Leonard's Bakery - This legendary bakery is renowned for one especially sweet treat: the malasada. This airy Portuguese donut may not have a hole, but has a huge following. Come early to grab a dozen of these sugar-coated, fluffy on the inside delights.

Side Street Inn - Craving hearty, delicious local cuisine? Side Street Inn offers legendary Oxtail Soup, Fried Pork Chops, Kim Chee Fried Rice, and Ahi Poke with Limu. Also on the menu is lighter fare, like the tasty Tofu, Chinese Chicken or Spinach salads. They also serve a variety of specialty cocktails and local beers.
